Appearance & First Thoughts

For those of you that like to take just a few essentials along when you're fishing, this lightweight vest/waistcoat is ideal. Constructed in a similar way to its bigger brother the Brush Creek Vest Pack, it has the same adjustable padded shoulder straps and adjustable girth straps either side of the body. It can therefore be worn over a jacket or shirt by adjusting the straps to suit.

Performance & Opinion
Positioned at the front of the vest is a single removable clip-on floating flybox. This has strong magnetic catches so it can be flipped open with one hand to form a convenient workspace when changing flies or tippets whilst wading in midstream. The rod meanwhile is held firmly in one of the sets of rod holder loops on either side of the body. Above this central flybox is a tool holder pocket to take a pair of forceps, keeping them out of the way so as not to catch your flyline when casting.
Having the padded shoulder straps like its bigger brother, this vest is very comfortable to wear even when fully loaded.
