At their 12th Annual Chairman’s Charity Day at Bushyleaze the Nomads and their guests raised almost £1,800 for worthy causes, this brings the total raised by the club to just under £20,000.
It was helped by a donation from the Environment Agency Bailiffs who came to do a licence check.
President, Charles Jardine said, “ the club is all about having fun and enjoying angling, but the guys are very serious about raising money for charity”.
The winner was current Troutmaster, Bob Forsythe, with Best Fish going to David Croxley with a cracking Rainbow of 7lbs 2 ozs.
If you would like to join the merry band of fly fishers please contact keithrb@btinternet.com.

Being Nomads we do not have a base, members come from Cornwall to the North of England, we fish all over the country and have even gone to France. Recently we have fished Ravensthorpe, Bushyleaze and Woolaston Court, to come we have Dever and Ellerdine

Nomad fishing club membersWe offer our members a fishing trip once a month, sometimes a weekend, plus tuition and improver days with assistance from Charles Jardine and Peter Cockwill, our President and Vice President, helped by the experienced club members. The events have a great fun atmosphere with everyone helping each other and getting along.
Members come from all walks of life, Dentists, Builders, Roofers, Teachers, even fishery Owners and Managers and a few ladies too. We have young (2 England Youth Team members) and old, mixed abilities from "just starting" to Troutmasters and Lexus winners, but the club is all about fishing, having fun and improving our knowledge of the sport.
Where possible we like to book the whole fishery as our banter and laughter can upset other anglers, so we are looking for a few more members to allow us to block book larger waters.
