Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February 2008 

Paul Procter with a fine GraylingThe ‘Lady of the Stream’ A weekend on the river Test dedicated to the grayling. A chance to really understand this graceful but mysterious game fish in relaxed surroundings with renowned grayling enthusiast and fly fishing writer Paul Procter and chalkstream guide and instructor Howard Taylor.

Sat 16th Feb, 6pm - Introductions (and a beer) at the Peat Spade Inn bar. 7pm - 'Grayling Fishers Dinner' 3 superb courses in the Mayfly Mess private dining room with Paul and Howard. After dinner presentation and slide show by Paul Procter on ‘Grayling through the Year,’ detailing their environment, feeding habits, flies and the various fly fishing techniques. Informal Q&A session. Bed and breakfast at The Peat Spade Inn, Longstock and The Greyhound, Stockbridge. All transport arranged.

Sun 17th Feb, 9am - Coffee at Peat Spade Inn. A days grayling fishing on six exclusive beats of the River Test and Dever on a local private Hampshire estate with Paul Procter, Howard Taylor and Brett O'Connor. The day will include, the superb Peat Spade Inn lunch hampers, eaten in the thatched fishing hut. One-to-one fishing with professional instructors Paul, Howard and Brett, as well as any specific questions you may have.

From stream to vice – bank-side fly dressing to ‘match the hatch’.

Alternative methods; New Zealand style, Czech nymphing, droppers.

Book now, cost £274 per person, Dinner, B&B and fishing inclusive. Wine, bar and gratuities not included. Limited to 12 persons. Tackle and EA rod licences included if required.
