From Ronald Sutherland

The newly formed Helmsdale Angling AssociationThe village of Helmsdale lies at the mouth of one of the most acclaimed salmon rivers in Europe. The surrounding area also boasts a vast choice of many fine rivers and lochs to tempt anglers to cast a fly. So it was no surprise when a large group of keen anglers gathered in the Bridge Hotel Helmsdale on December 7th to debate the possibility of forming a Helmsdale Angling Association.

Interest was high, progress was fast and it was soon unanimously agreed that an angling organisation should be formed immediately. The Helmsdale Angling Association is now up and running and it is keen to liaise with other Angling clubs to organise day trips and competitions etc.

Angling club secretaries can contact Helmsdale Angling Association Secretary Ronald Sutherland on enquiries@helmsdalecompany.com to make contact and discuss ideas.
