The Czech team has triumphed in the 2008 World fly Fishing Championships in New Zealand, overtaking the NZ team in the very last session. France made a simply fantastic recovery to take the bronze medal position. Team England is so deflated after being in bronze medal position after session four, with John Horsey in individual bronze position at the same point. On the final two sessions on the last day, however, the grasp on the podium was lost, largely because of simply awesome performances by France, Italy and Poland in the race for the podium. We have a new Czech World Champion. I will write a full report on the Championship, in which huge numbers of trout were caught and the tactical battle was superb, shortly in Fish&Fly.
