Influential female fly-fisher Joan Salvato Wulff is set to be inducted into the International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame in October.
Ms Wullf, who is a highly adept fly-fisher, having won some 18 tournament fly-casting competitions in her angling career, has also offered a great deal more to the world of fly-fishing.
She has written a number of well received books, writing titles such as Joan Wulff's Fly-Casting Techniques and Joan Wulff's Fly Fishing: Expert Advice from a Woman's Perspective, among many others.
She has also shared her expertise in films, including the popular Joan Wullf's Dynamics of Fly-Casting.
In the video, Ms Wullf distils the essential components of good fly-fishing technique into the 90-minute piece, which may prove beneficial to both beginners and more experienced anglers.
The angling luminary also opened the Wulff School of Fly Fishing in the Catskill mountains of New York in 1979, in order to teach fly-fishing techniques and the catch and release strategy to a new generation of anglers.
