One Canadian professional golfer has developed a new resort which will be a haven to those people who love to combine their passion for golf with angling.
Richard Zokol, 49, from White Rock in British Columbia describes the setting up of the Sagebrush Golf & Sporting Club as an "ambitious project", having given up the pro game briefly to pursue his dream.
Possessing a links-style golf course, the "private boutique" in the Nicola Valley in British Columbia will also enable visitors to indulge their passion for fly-fishing, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.
Having raised some £5 million from investors to assist with the project, Zokol now hopes to return to golf and is a year away from being eligible from the Champions Tour for over-50s on August 21st.
The Senior PGA Championship showcases many great names from golf who will also be entering the tournament next year, including Hal Sutton, Joey Sindelar, Larry Mize and Steve Jones.
Zokol will be entering the tour with good pedigree, with the golfer having won events on the Canadian, PGA and Nationwide tours in a 26-year professional career.
