Following on from the two-part video introduction to fly anatomy, tools and materials, Fish & Fly instructor Brian McGregor now gets you started on your first fly in the series called a Shipman Buzzer. It is a fairly simple pattern and the material list is included inside so you know what you will need in order to copy Brian's instructions and hopefully make your very own fly ready for the new trout season.

As promised at the end of last year we are happy to be launching our new FISH&FLY PLUS members fly tying course aimed at beginners and those who have an interest in finding out more about how to get started. Loop sent us an Opti Creek 3 weight outfit to review recently so we decided to put it through its paces! Not on some tiny wild trout mind you, that would have been too easy! We took it to a local carp water to see what it was really made of.
