August 22: Runar Kokko caught and released a magnificent salmon from the River Tana in Finnmark, Norway. At 144cm (56.7 in) the huge cock salmon was estimated to be over 30kg (66lb). (This is bigger than the UK record of 64lb which was 54in long.). Runar is a keen supporter of catch & release which means that the genes of this great creature may well be passed down to the next generation. Thank you!
