Here we chart how the guardians of Europe's best salmon fishing are doing.

Clearly all are doing well except Norway which is the guardian of arguably the finest race of salmon of all. These charts illustrate clearly that Norway needs to get its salmon conservation act together before its too late!

Congratulations Iceland for superb results. This comes as little suprise when it is home to Orri Vigfusson of NASF the Goldman Environmental prize winner for his work on international Atlantic salmon conservation. The upward curves we see are invariably linked to the work of NASF's work in buying out high sea netting operations and help in buying-out nets around the shores of Britain and Ireland. Only Norway resists his common sense approach and combined with their intensive fish farming, catch & kill attitudes, Norway salmon fishing is heading in one direction only -- downwards!
