Icelandic and Russian salmon day at Farlows

BRIAN FRATEL of Farlows reported on a successful Atlantic Salmon Open Day held yesterday at the 9 Pall Mall store in association with Fly Fisher Group.
The focus of the event was the prospect of fishing on Iceland's top rivers and details on opportunities to fish for north Kola Peninsula river Yokanga's huge salmon.
Brian said: 'Henry [Mountain], Peter [Rippin] and Jacky [Selby] always put on a good show - they played DVDs of their fishing destinations and our customers enjoyed it.’
Refreshments took the shape of produce from the Staal Smokehouse run by former colleague Justin Staal and a glass of wine.
