FREDERICTON (CNB) - Anglers in New Brunswick have one week left to enter the annual Crown reserve angling draw.

"This draw is open only to New Brunswick residents, and it provides an opportunity to acquire recreational angling privileges on one of 20 prime stretches of the Miramichi, Restigouche and Patapedia rivers," said Natural Resources Minister Wally Stiles. "These are some of the best waters anywhere to fly-fish for Atlantic salmon, so I encourage New Brunswick anglers to take advantage of this great opportunity."

Local anglers may apply online at: New Brunswick Natural Resources. Mail-in applications are available at Natural Resources offices and Service New Brunswick centres.

Successful applicants will be awarded Crown reserve angling privileges at only one location and date. Individual names may not appear on more than one application. Each party may apply for up to five specific locations and dates.

Applications must be received at the fish and wildlife branch at the Department of Natural Resources before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5. The address is: Department of Natural Resources, Fish and Wildlife Branch, P.O. Box 6000, Fredericton, N.B., E3B 5H1. The draw will be held at the end of March.
