    Salmon Angler drowns in Norway

A man died when salmon fishing on the Numedal River at Svarstad, Norway on Saturday night. The police have requested an autopsy and have not yet released his name.

Witnesses have said that the 62 year old man from Hovik near Oslo had tried to cross the river in a rowing boat when he lost an oar and was carried into the turbulent water of the pool below where the boat capsized. He was not wearing a life jacket.

Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

It is now known that the person had a heart attack before he drowned.

    Very sad as you say.
