Water levels finally coming down on Ireland's Suir
Like the rest of the British Isles, Ireland has received very heavy rainfalls over the past two months.
The Suir has finally dropped below 1 meter for the first time in 5 weeks, writes Philip Maher. Prospects if the river continues to drop look real good. I was on the Kilsheelan beat yesterday we could only spin as the river was still over 1 meter. We had some great fish to 16 lbs on black/ gold and yellow/ silver flyingC,s. The trout where taken the spinners to with numerous trout caught in the one to two lbs category. Thankfully the Suir is still single hook and all the trout where return in good health.
