---Quote (Originally by chickenfish)--- Many thanks MarkT, That looks promising. Any idea which beat is the best for a non local with little time to learn? Thanks again ---End Quote--- The sea trout fishing on the Border Esk is not what it once was. However, if you can tolerate (or preferably ignore) the outrageous demands by the Environment Agency that anglers fishing the Border Esk should buy an English rod licence to fish in Scottish waters, it is a lovely river to fish. I would recommend that you contact Iain Bell, fishery manager on the Buccleuch Estate, for advice on the best chance of a sea trout.
