    Fishing in Europe

    Hi all,
I am off to Italy for a few weeks at the beginning of September and was thinking of either taking my little 6ft fly rod or my spinning rod for some shore fishing. They both fit in my case so no worries with porters damaging them.

The question I have is what sort of licence or permit is needed in Europe for fishing either the small streams for brown trout or the shore for bass etc.

I have also booked a trip to Germany next June so any advice on European laws on fly fishing for brownies or shore fishing would be great.

    Many Thanks
    Ian

Couldn't help you with European laws but I would say if travelling to another country insurance would be a good idea. https://www.fishinginsurancecover.co.uk/ Have a good trip!

    Re: Fishing in Europe

Thanks Craftycarp, when I took out my home insurance I added for a couple of quid my rods. I do all types of fishing sea coarse and fly and my rods are insured for accidental breakage away from the home as well.
    Regards
