Modern vs Traditional Double Spey?
Unless you want to unimpress more ghillies, please take a lesson or two and then do some practice even if on still water. This will cut your learning curve by miles, books and videos will show you what to do ,only a hands on instructor can fault find and come up with solutions, recently Mike Evans had me with an arm strapped to my side to couteract excessive use of dominant top hand ,it helps remember ,you really cant get that kind of thing from watching or reading.Good luck with your salmon fishing, unless lucky most of the pleasure of a salmon day is the casting and working of the fly, with the take often not coming for days, when it comes its the real icing on the cake.when you teke into account what a days salmon may well cost the investment of time and cash in a good teacher is invaluable,as I have to say is occaisional "top up" lessons,as we all slip into bad habits.
