Grimsa, Nordura and Laxa in Asum Rivers (opening reports)
Grimsa is seeing a similar issue with the weather but plenty of fish being caught all through the system, writes Peter Rippin. A good number of fish are being seen in Laxfoss and these are being pushed upstream on every new tide by new fresh and aggressive fish.
Nordura has had a strong start with close to 300 salmon landed by the 27th June. Water levels are above average and good runs of fish coming in. The grilse run is expected to begin showing any day to add to the good average size of fish we have caught so far.
Word from Laxa in Asum is that the water levels are good and there are fish in all the best pools. Each tide is bringing more of the famous aggressive fish.
In all a good way to start the season.
