    Arrived at Goosebay, Labrador and waiting for float plane to take us up to the Hunt River to fish for Atlantic Salmon with bombers and small skated flies.

    River is full of salmon and I am hearing incredible stories of the catches up there. Start fishing this afternoon!

    In the meantime here is another video of this incredible location;

    Will update as trip develops.

    Update

    Now Tuesday afternoon and had 5 fishing sessions. All fishing is with floating lines, bombers, hiitched flies or skated wet such as Blue Charm.

    I am using a 11'6" Hardy Swift 7 weight switch style rod with Orvis Mirage reel. Ideal for this river although others all using single handed 9' rods.

    So far 8 salmon up to 12lbs to my rod and best of 16lb on the camp with just 4 of us fishing. Mainly dead drifting with bombers.

    Salmon are running this short river and appear to be stopping below a falls and then going up at night.

    I am a guest of the new owner and we are exploring river to find new pools and to advise on various aspects. Lodge is probably the best in the world!

    Will report further in a few days.
