The current issue of Game Fisher’s Diary includes the first two parts of Home For Salmon – a not-to-be-missed documentary about the Atlantic Salmon Reserve of Kharlovka in the Kola Peninsula of Russia featuring international fly angling superstar Mikael Frodin.
Kharlovka boasts that it is world's first conservation area for Atlantic Salmon, Sea Trout, Wild Brown Trout and Arctic Char. It aims to sustain and develop the area’s fantastic fishing, hand in hand with preserving and protecting this pristine and uninhabited wilderness for the benefit of future generations.
The series is beautifully shot and includes some unforgettable underwater footage of salmon moving through the river and responding to the flies presented to them.
The full documentary will be broadcast over the next few issues of Game Fisher’s Diary and you can watch it all online, on i-phones and i-pads at www.gamefishersdiary.com and coming soon to Samsung Smart TV.
