Survey – Wild Fishing in Scotland

The Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA) has been requested by Public and Corporate Economic Consultants (PACEC) to circulate details of a survey it is carrying out on behalf of Marine Scotland and they are encouraging everyone who fishes north of the border to complete the survey so that Scottish Government is informed on the importance of ‘wild fishing’ in Scotland.

PACEC introduces the survey as follows:

“Marine Scotland has commissioned Public and Corporate Economic Consultants (PACEC) to assess the value and economic impact of Wild Fishing (in rivers and lochs) in Scotland, and the future growth prospects for the sector.

As part of this research, S&TA are asking anglers to complete an online survey that can be found HERE and they say:

“We have sought to design a questionnaire that can be filled in easily. We would very much welcome your response as your views will be important to us. All the information you provide will be treated in confidence.

This questionnaire deals with a different set of issues to a survey for the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group that many may have completed last year. Although some of the questions are similar, we would very much welcome your response even if you took part in that tourism survey.”
