World Record Sized Grayling From The Frome

Hart’s Grayling

Angler Richard Hart caught and released this beauty of a grayling (Thymallus thymallus) on January 17th 2017 while fly fishing the River Frome, located in Hart’s native country of England.

Hart – an experienced fly angler – coerced the notoriously spooky grayling to eat a dry fly, which he skillfully played for 10 minutes on his ultra-light tippet. Hart’s trophy measured out to 47 cm in length, and qualifies him to potentially tie the All-Tackle Length world record, which currently sits at 46 cm.
