Matt Dunkinson is in the midst of documenting a year on the River Test and in response to a Facebook post of mine the other day asking about the ongoing mayfly hatches around the country invited me to check out his footage captured on the River Test recently.
Never one to miss an opportunity to stop work and watch some fishing action for a while I am happy to report I am very excited by what I saw.
This is not your grandad’s ropey fishing holiday video but a cutting edge piece of work, using some great camera angles, excellent choice of music and best of all featuring one of the UK’s own highlights of our fly fishing year rather than some far flung global destination.
This was shot on the Broadlands beat of the River Test with head riverkeeper Jon Hall.
