Every self-respecting famous Kola Peninsula salmon river these days has to boast its own trout fishing camp in the upper reaches and the North Kola's Varzina river is no exception. The Varzuga river in Russia has just recorded one of its best-ever seasons in 21 years - with more than 8,500 salmon and a bigger average size of fish than in previous seasons (and immaculate silver salmon too).
